Kelly

Kelly lost her first husband Jeff, an artist, when he was struck and killed by a drunk driver four years ago.  Not expecting to find love again, Kelly did when she reconnected with an 8th grade boyfriend Ben.  Three years later Ben proposed.

Kelly’s first wedding dress was purchased off the rack a week before the wedding.  For this ceremony, Kelly wants the experience she missed the first time around.  She is drawn to sheaths and sweetheart necklines. Kelly will also need something that is easy to move in, since the cocktail hour will be held on two chartered boats with Kelly and Ben, an avid fisherman, planning to cast a line during the reception.

As Kelly stepped into this gown with lace bodice from Alvina Valenta she knew it was the perfect choice.  The trumpet silhouette flattered Kelly’s figure and the neckline was perfect for the antique necklace from Ben’s great grandmother that she was planning to wear to the ceremony.

Kelly’s hair was styled into a low bun off to one side for a classic bridal look.

A headpiece by Cheryl King Couture (Marisa) of silk organza flowers with crystals and long tulle veil by Toni Federici, helped to complete Kelly’s bridal makeover.

Crystal and pearl earrings from Cheryl King Couture in a beautiful scroll design complemented the lace pattern on Kelly’s gown.

To honor the memory of her late husband Jeff, Kelly chose a bouquet in shades of purple, his favorite color.
