When Becca came to my trunk show in Nashville, she had already found the dress of her dreams. However, after she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, the surgical scar on her neck is all that Becca notices when she looks in the mirror. Feeling that her gown represents her life pre-cancer, Becca asked for my help to choose a new gown that represented the new woman she had become.
The challenge for me was to find a gown that Becca would love as much as the first gown she chose, and more importantly not draw attention to her scar.
I knew this simple Amsale gown with its architectural bodice would have the modern feel that Becca desired and also compliment her body. The addition of a satin trimmed veil and crystal accessories completed Becca’s “head to hem” look.
